Dear Colleague:

Recent advances in biotechnology have led to the development of sophisticated and targeted therapies that could dramatically change the care of patients with colorectal cancer in the coming years. Colorectal cancer is the third most common malignancy in both genders in the United States, and the majority of patients either present with or progress to metastases. The best chemotherapy regimens available today only marginally improve survival, so there is great room for therapeutic advance in this field, and emerging therapies are eagerly being watched.

The emergence of whole classes of new drugs raises important issues not only for patients and healthcare providers but for the managed care industry as well. How and for whom will these new therapies be used? Will they be used alone or with existing therapies? What clinical benefits will they offer? How much will they cost and will they reduce other healthcare costs as a result of their improved efficacy? What related case management services should be provided to targeted patient populations to help improve clinical outcomes and reduce overall costs?

Join us on the Internet for a live Webcast in which expert faculty in medicine, managed care pharmacy, and nursing case management explore these issues. Emerging Therapies in Metastatic Colorectal Cancer: The Latest Evidence will address some of your most important concerns regarding the changing management of colorectal cancer. It is sure to be an informative and valuable conference.

Sincerely,

Joel Picus, MD
