Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is the most common cause of irreversible vision loss in Americans. With our population aging, the number of people with AMD is on the rise.

TARGET AUDIENCE

ACTIVITY GOAL
The goal of this CME/CE activity is to review treatment for patients with AMD.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
  • Utilizing an understanding of AMD, initiate early diagnosis in at-risk patients to minimize their loss of vision.

  • Integrate knowledge of the efficacy and safety/toxicity of current and emerging anti-VEGF therapies into strategic therapy regimens for patients with AMD.

  • Upon assessing the implications of new targeted therapies, integrate anti-VEGF therapies into regimens to improve patient vision outcomes and satisfaction.
